The most frequently asked questions from our clients are listed below. If the question you want to ask is not here, please contact us.

2) Can I study with HackerTeen if I live in another country?
The classes are currently only taught in Portuguese. If you know how to read and write in this language you can join, since up to the black belt level the course is taught at a distance. To register for HackerTeen, please send us an e-mail and a representative will contact you.
4) What will I learn at HackerTeen?
Check out the class contents.
5) What do I have to do to become a good Hacker?
If you really want to join HackerTeen and become a good Hacker, check out what you have to do.
6) Why does HackerTeen have a psychological evaluation at the green belt level?
The test helps HackerTeen learn more about the students and it helps the students learn more about themselves. This will help the student guide his or her career. It is the same test that is given at medium and large-sized companies. The difference is that at companies the results are never given, we only know if the candidate was approved or not. At HackerTeen, the student meets with the teacher-psychologist following the test.
7) How do you know that the student will not turn around and use the knowledge acquired from HackerTeen to do bad things?
The psychological test does not show this explicitly, it is just another tool for us to get to know the student better. We learn a lot more about the real intentions of the student by working closely with him or her for years. A student with bad intentions has never reached the green belt level because in order to reach it, the student needs to do well in all the following subjects: Hacker Ethics, Internet Entrepreneurship, Networks and Computer Security. We have found out that a student with bad intentions only does well in Networks and Computer Security. In the end, the student fails due to his or her interests and not because of the psychological test.
8) Why was HackerTeen created?
HackerTeen's goal is to channel the energy and the time teenagers spends at the computer on the Internet playing games, MySpace and MSN into learning skills that will really make a different in the student's future in computers.
10) Why is HackerTeen more expensive than regular computer courses?
HackerTeen is a twenty-first century course. Its content is completely different from regular computer courses and its goals are also different. Compare HackerTeen's credit hours and content with other courses. HackerTeen teaches technology in a new and fun way and prepares the student to work with servers and not with desktops (Windows and Office package). The best paid jobs are related to working with servers. Compare and you will see why HackerTeen is not expensive and that, in fact, it is an excellent value.
11) Why do you use Linux and not Windows?
Because it is where you will find the best paying jobs. Nowadays, when a company buys a server (computers with great processing power), they buy it from Linux. Windows is used a lot in Desktop (end user), but not in servers. The best paid jobs in the market are for those who know how to work with servers and not with Desktops, known as home-user computers.
12) Do I need a broadband Internet connection for the courses?
Yes, since the classes - taught at a distance - use voice and video content and a dial-up connection would make student participation difficult.
14) Does HackerTeen award some kind of certificate or diploma?
Yes, HackerTeen provides the necessary coursework for the student to take the exams for the international certificates LPI - Linux Professional Institute - and Ethical Hacker. These certificates greatly boost the student's résumé.
